Leroy Robert Snyder, 83, of Decatur, passed away at 11:50 a.m., August 31, 2011 in his residence.

Graveside service to celebrate Leroy’s life will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday September 3rd, 2011 at Illini Cemetery, Warrensburg with full military honors provided by the Macon County Honor Guard. Visitation will be from 9:30 until 10:30 a.m. Saturday morning at Dawson & Wikoff West Wood Street Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to St John’s Hospice.

Leroy was born September 12, 1927 in Arenzville, IL the son of Marion and Elsie (Mullins) Snyder. He retired from A.W. Cash Valve Company. He served in the U.S. Navy and was a W.W.II Veteran. He married Jenny J Pratt on December 12, 1993.

Surviving is his wife: Jenny of Decatur, children: Tina Howard and her husband Steve, Marian Snyder, Brenda Snyder, Janet Snyder, Trease Reeves and her husband Rob, Brenda Brown and her husband Bill, Steven Jones, Timothy Jones, Donnie Pratt and his wife Heather; brothers and sisters: Rose Nunn, Dorothy Eldridge, Margaret Warning, Gary Riley, Donnie Riley, Ronnie Riley, Linda Brooks; thirty-three grandchildren, twenty-eight great grandchildren and twelve great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, one brother, and one sister.
